Watercolor Practice – Inspired by John Singer Sargent
March 30, 2026
3 to 5:30 pm
Join us for our Watercolor Practice series. Each week we’ll study and copy renowned artists to build your watercolor skills in color, technique and composition—then use what you’ve learned to create art that reflects your own style.
This week our featured artist is: John Singer Sargent.
John Singer Sargent (1856–1925) was an American painter renowned for his portraits and celebrated as the leading portrait artist of his time. He was born in Florence to American parents and lived most of his life in Europe. He created more than 2,000 watercolors, as well as numerous sketches, charcoal drawings and oil paintings.
