Sego Lily – Flowers of Zion Art Workshop

3 to 5:30 pm

This week in our Flowers of Zion art workshop series we are focusing on the Sego Lily.

The Sego Lily has been the state flower of Utah since 1911. The Sego lily grows from a bulb that is edible and was historically used as a food source by Native Americans and early Mormon pioneers.

The sego lily features distinctive, cup-shaped flowers with three broad petals that come in shades of white to rose-purple and blooms in Zion in June and July.

Many artists have painted the Sego Lily over the years and we’ll look at examples for inspiration for your own rendition.

Join us! Whether you’re an experienced artist or just starting out, this workshop for adults offers a relaxed and supportive environment to develop your skills and creativity.
