Collage Portraits

In this workshop we will be using magazines, paint, gelli plates, drawing and whatever else you want to piece together to create your portraits.
We will look at collage portrait examples from Hannah Hoch, Deborah Roberts, John Stezaker and local artists Deborah Durban, Ginger Grimes and Michelle Bonner.
For years, artists have used collage to express themselves and make unexpected juxtapositions of images that create deeper layers of meaning.
Come for this fun, relaxing, no experience needed class. Be surprised by what you create.

All supplies provided. Feel free to bring your own collage material as well. Old photos, gelli plate prints, and other ephemera you might want to add to your collage.
