Artist Talk & Reception with Yvonne Applegate

Join us for an artist talk with Yvonne Applegate from 4 to 5:00 PM, followed by an opening reception for her gallery show. Both events will be held at the Canyon Community Center in Springdale, UT.
“My pathway to art has been non traditional. It took a long time before I could call myself an artist. When I turned 50, I threw caution to the wind and decided to give up on my inhibitions and dive further into the art world.
I started body painting, wig and costume making. I built a houseful of furniture. I made large-scale mosaics and river tables. I bought and learned how to run a large CO2 laser. I learned stained glass and am currently neck deep exploring fused glass.
I am compelled to create in a way I don’t always understand, but I find the act of making anything good for my heart, mind, and soul.”
